Emma Skillbeck, The Kilns, Wrenthorpe
Emma has bought one of the apartments at The Kilns in Wrenthorpe and is looking forward to moving in. Local girl Emma had watched the development take shape but it wasn’t until she saw the show flat that she realised that this was the place for her. She explains “I wasn’t sure at first as I hadn’t thought about a flat but once I looked round the show flat I instantly fell in love with the place.” And it wasn’t just Emma that was impressed. She continues “My Dad and I really thought I’d end up with a terraced house but he agrees that this is so much better.”
There are several reasons why Emma knows this is the right choice. She says “You get so much more for your money in terms of quality and finish – with them being new you can just move straight in with none of the problems of older properties. This is my first home on my own so it’s also important that I feel safe and secure - you don’t always get that with terraced houses. What’s more, the views from my flat are brilliant. It’s exactly where I want to be and I can’t wait to move in.”
Moving home can be quite scary, especially for the first time, but for Emma she had plenty of help. “Bramley Homes were great” she says, “they looked after me really well.”
And Emma’s advice is clear to other young people who might not be sure about buying a flat: “Come and have a look for yourself, you’ll be impressed.”
